Job Purpose

Savannah Informatics is seeking a skilled Web Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and user-friendly web applications that support digital health solutions. The role focuses on building high-quality frontend systems, integrating APIs, and ensuring performance, reliability, and usability across web platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop responsive, high-performance web applications using modern frontend frameworks and standard web technologies.

• Translate high-fidelity designs and prototypes into functional, accessible user interfaces.

• Build and maintain reusable components and design systems to ensure consistency across applications.

• Design scalable frontend architectures that support long-term maintainability and reuse.

• Integrate frontend applications with backend services using RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

• Write and maintain unit tests and end-to-end tests to ensure high test coverage and application reliability.

• Participate in code reviews to maintain quality, consistency, and adherence to development standards.

• Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support testing, deployment, and release processes for UAT and production.

• Monitor and optimize application performance to enhance user experience and system efficiency.

• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and product teams to deliver user-centered solutions.

• Work within agile sprint cycles, ensuring timely delivery and clear technical documentation.

• Analyze user requirements and technical specifications to guide development decisions.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues identified through testing and user feedback.

• Stay updated on emerging web technologies and apply relevant innovations to ongoing projects.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field or equivalent practical experience.

• Strong experience in web application development and modern programming practices.

• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6), HTML, CSS, and SCSS.

• Experience with UI libraries such as Tailwind CSS or Bootstrap.

• Working knowledge of API integration, including REST and GraphQL.

• Familiarity with database query languages.

• Experience working in Linux or Mac OS development environments.

• Solid understanding of web application security, session management, and best practices.

• Ability to write clean, testable, and well-documented code.

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
