ECDE Teacher – 40 Posts at Uasin Gishu County Government

Requirements For appointment:-

• Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education offered by KNEC or its approved equivalent;
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum grade C (Plain), or its approved equivalent;

OR

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum grade D+ (Plus), or its approved equivalent plus Certificate in Early Childhood Development and Education offered by KNEC or Ministry of Education or its approved equivalent;
• Registered by the Teachers Service Commission;

Duties and responsibilities:-

• Class teaching;
• Role model, guide and counsel, mentor and motivate learners;
• Prepare monthly reports;
• Ensure the safety and security of the learners;
• Identify, initiate, develop and facilitate play learning activities that will enable learners enjoy living and learning through play;
• Develop relevant play/learning materials for all learners;
• Prepare and develop schemes of work, lesson plans, Record of Work and daily programme of activities, assessment and evaluation of learners’ progress and keep professional records.

ASSISTANT ECDE TEACHER II JG ‘G’

• Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 23,700.00 -31,450.00 (CPSB 12)
• House Allowance: Ksh. 4,500 p.m
• Commuter Allowance: KShs. 4,000 p.m.
• Other Allowances as Per the SRC Circulars
• Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable

Requirements for appointment:-

• Certificate in Early Childhood Development Education offered by KNEC/Ministry of Education or its approved equivalent;
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum grade D+ (Plus) or KCE division IV at ‘O’ Level; and
• Registered by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC);

Duties and responsibilities:-

• Class teaching;
• Role model, guide and counsel, mentor and motivate learners;
• Prepare monthly reports;
• Ensure the safety and security of the learners;
• Assist in organizing and facilitating play/learning activities for the learners;
• Care and nurture spiritual, moral, social, mental, physical, aesthetic and emotional growth of the learners (holistic development);
• Manage ECDE classes and keep professional and administrative records (schemes of work, lesson plans, Record of Work, daily programme of activities, attendance registers etc.) and ensuring learners’ safety and security;
• Prepare and develop play/learning materials

ASSISTANT ECDE TEACHER III JG , ‘F’

• Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 20,560.00 – 26,460.00 (CPSB 13)
• House Allowance: Ksh. 3,730.00 p.m
• Commuter Allowance: Ksh. 3,000.00 p.m.
• Other Allowances as Per the SRC Circulars
• Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable

Requirements for appointment:-

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum grade D+ (Plus)
• or
• KCE division IV at ‘O’ Level
• Certificate in Early Childhood Development Education offered by KNEC/Ministry of Education or its approved equivalent.
• Registered by the Teachers Service Commission
• Certificate of Good Conduct from the National Police Service
• Valid medical report from a registered government health facility.
