Bookkeeper- QuickBooks Online and GAAP at Oasis Outsourcing – Oasis Outsourcing Kenya Job Details

Seeking a diligent and efficient accountant with strong experience in accrual accounting and QuickBooks Online to support month-end close processes for clients.

Responsibilities

• Support the month end close process for both cashand accrual-basis clients (Quickbooks Online)
• Maintain schedules (typically in Google Sheets format) that support account balances Post general and adjusting journal entries
• Create draft reporting packets in a software called Fathom
• Help onboard clients (migrate to new chart of accounts, set up month end schedule in our project management software, etc)

• Flexible -this is a new business, so there will likely be adjustments to process along the way
• Diligent and efficient -they can’t spend all day on a client; and they’ll likely need to switch between clients in the same day

Required Experience

• At least 3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper
• Strong experience with accrual accounting
• Preferable to have experience with GAAP compliant setting (for example, you’ve supported businesses who have annual GAAP audits)
• Preferable to have experience with Google Sheets and Google Drive
• Strong experience with Quickbooks Online (would be great if they have any kind of Quickbooks certification)
• Preferable experience using Bill.com
