About the Role

Safal Group is recruiting a Career Services Officer for its Kilifi location. This is a full-time position within the Human Resource department, focused on bridging the gap between educational institutions and employment opportunities. The role sits at the intersection of workforce development and employer engagement, working to support graduates and trainees in securing meaningful employment or launching entrepreneurial ventures.

The Career Services Officer at Safal Group will serve as a key coordinator between educational partners, industry employers, and job seekers. You will develop and nurture relationships with organizations across sectors, manage placement initiatives, and equip candidates with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in their careers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain partnerships with employers, industry bodies, and professional organizations to create placement and development opportunities.
  • Coordinate internship programs, industrial attachments, apprenticeships, and direct job placement initiatives.
  • Plan and deliver career guidance sessions, mentorship arrangements, and career fairs for trainees and graduates.
  • Provide individual support to candidates in resume preparation, interview skills, and readiness for employment.
  • Manage databases of graduates and employers; conduct and analyze tracer studies to monitor career outcomes.
  • Compile and present regular reports on placement statistics and employability performance.
  • Strengthen connections with alumni and increase awareness of the institution’s reputation and offerings.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Education, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in career services, youth development, TVET, or employer liaison roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to build networks, communicate effectively across diverse stakeholders, and organize complex programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage confidently with employers, trainees, and institutional leadership.
  • Commitment to supporting youth skills development and career progression.
  • High standard of professionalism and ethical conduct in all dealings.
  • Solid problem-solving capability and organizational discipline.
