Relationship Advisor at Peach Cars KE – Peach Cars KE Kenya Job Details
About the Role
Peach Cars KE is hiring a Relationship Advisor to join its Nairobi-based team. This is a full-time position in Sales & Marketing in Kenya, working within a technology-enabled automotive marketplace that serves the second-hand vehicle market across sub-Saharan Africa. As the Relationship Advisor at Peach Cars KE, you will be the single named point of contact for customers throughout their entire journey—from initial inquiry through vehicle selection, inspection, negotiation, paperwork, handover, and follow-up.
The role sits at the centre of the customer experience and brings together responsibilities that span both buyer-facing and seller-facing workflows. You will combine relationship-building, commercial judgment, and process discipline to guide customers through structured discovery, viewings, pricing conversations, and transaction completion. When decisions exceed your authority, you escalate to specialists while maintaining ownership of the customer relationship.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structured discovery conversations with buyers and sellers to understand budget, timing, use case, funding requirements, trade-in needs, and risk appetite; recommend solutions based on verified need rather than convenience or inventory pressure.
- Arrange and conduct vehicle viewings and test drives, follow up decisively, and manage seller intake including pricing expectations, inspection scheduling, listing readiness, and offer communication.
- Explain inspection findings, vehicle condition history, and trade-offs clearly and honestly, helping customers understand what inspection results mean for their decision.
- Manage buyer, seller, and trade-in threads as a joined-up process so that multiple active conversations do not fragment into disconnected workflows.
- Negotiate and close standard deals within approved scripts, authority limits, and pricing guardrails; coordinate finance options, insurance products, trade-in discussions, and document collection through proper workflow channels.
- Ensure paperwork, KYC compliance, payment preparation, transfer communication, and handover steps move forward cleanly and on schedule.
- Complete 72-hour post-handover follow-up to reinforce confidence, surface and resolve issues early, and encourage referral momentum.
- Work with Pricing Advisors, Transaction Advisors, and operations teams on pricing disputes, exception handling, and complex structuring while preserving customer ownership; escalate documentation, compliance, or reputational risks promptly.
- Maintain CRM records, next-step dates, and follow-up discipline for every active customer; keep internal stakeholders informed of status, blockers, and action owners; contribute feedback on objections, pricing patterns, and process gaps to improve the overall customer journey.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in consultative automotive sales, customer success, retail finance, insurance, telecoms, or another service-heavy commercial environment where you managed a pipeline or deal book rather than isolated transactions.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, inventory search tools, messaging platforms, and e-signature/document workflows.
- Strong consultative selling capability, including discovery questioning, objection handling, and closing techniques.
- High attention to documentation quality, stage-SLA discipline, and next-step follow-up.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc) or HND qualification; a degree adds value alongside a strong commercial track record, but proven sales experience is the priority.
- Experience spanning both buyer-side and seller-side workflows in automotive or marketplace environments is advantageous, as is prior exposure to vehicle finance, trade-ins, valuations, or inspection-led selling models.
What to Expect
- You will work in a customer-centric environment where your ability to build trust and manage complexity directly impacts the experience of both buyers and sellers on the Peach Cars KE platform.
- This role requires balancing multiple active customer threads, escalation discipline, and clear internal coordination; you will operate within defined authority limits but retain ownership of customer relationships even when specialist support is needed.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
You should have 2–4 years in consultative sales, customer success, finance, insurance, or a similar service-driven field. The key requirement is that you have managed a pipeline or deal book—evidence of multiple ongoing customer relationships rather than one-off sales. Experience in automotive, marketplace environments, or vehicle finance is valued but not essential if you have strong transferable sales skills.
You will be directly managing individual customer relationships across the full lifecycle. This is a customer-facing role, not a management position. You will liaise with internal teams (Pricing Advisors, Transaction Advisors, operations) to support your customers, but you are not responsible for supervising or training staff.
Documentation discipline and next-step follow-up are core to the role, so attention to detail is essential. The CRM system tracks all customer interactions and deadlines. If compliance or reputational risks emerge, you are expected to escalate them promptly to your manager or the appropriate internal team. Mistakes are opportunities to improve process, but patterns of carelessness will not align with the role's standards.
