As a Sales Officer, you will be the on-ground representative of Avenews, building relationships with new customers and activating existing partnership networks. Your role spans customer acquisition, loan application management, and field-level execution of sales and marketing activities. This position requires someone comfortable working independently in field-based environments across multiple counties.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, engage, and onboard new customers within assigned territories, ensuring quality interactions and accurate customer profiling.
• Convert qualified leads into complete and compliant loan applications that meet Avenews underwriting standards.
• Activate and commercialise established partner networks including agro-dealers, distributors, cooperatives, and aggregators to drive loan origination.
• Support customers through the documentation process, minimising application errors and ensuring timely submission of required materials.
• Execute field ambassador responsibilities during market activations, customer training sessions, and community engagement events.
• Monitor pipeline performance and document sales metrics, conversion rates, and field-level market intelligence for reporting.
• Collaborate with operations teams to support loan activation milestones and encourage repeat usage among approved customers.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agribusiness, or a related discipline.
• One to three years of verifiable field sales experience in fintech, microfinance, FMCG, distribution, or agribusiness sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate customer documentation and manage application workflows with precision.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms and digital sales tools required for pipeline tracking and customer management.
• Willingness to travel frequently within assigned territories and maintain a strong field presence on a daily basis.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and follow up consistently with customers and partners.
• Capacity to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and meet sales targets in a high-volume environment.

Performance Metrics
