- Telesales Representative – Baba Dogo

About the Role
The Telesales Representative at Nairobi Central Hardware Limited- Multiple Roles is a full-time position based in Nairobi. You will be responsible for driving sales through telephone outreach to both new and existing customers. The role requires you to communicate product information clearly, identify customer needs, and close sales while maintaining detailed records of all interactions within our system.
This is a direct sales position where your ability to listen, adapt your approach, and follow through on commitments will determine your success. You’ll work with our Tally ERP system daily and handle order processing, so familiarity with enterprise software is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to prospects and existing customers to generate sales leads and revenue
- Deliver product specifications and service information to potential buyers with accuracy and clarity
- Ask targeted questions to understand what customers need and adjust your sales approach based on their feedback
- Enter and maintain all customer information correctly in the Tally ERP system
- Process customer orders with precision and speed to meet delivery deadlines
- Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner to protect the company’s reputation
- Work toward monthly sales targets by using upselling techniques and persistence
- Document every call, sale, and customer interaction for reporting and quality assurance purposes
- Contribute to long-term business growth by building customer relationships and repeat business
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc/HND) in Sales and Marketing, Customer Service, or related field
- Proven track record working as a Telesales Representative or in a similar direct sales role
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed phone sales targets consistently
- Working knowledge of Tally ERP or comparable enterprise resource planning and CRM software
- Ability to quickly absorb product information and communicate features and benefits to customers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional interpersonal abilities
- Composure and professionalism when managing rejection or difficult customer interactions
- Problem-solving capability with a focus on achieving customer satisfaction
- Background in engineering or technical fields is advantageous but not required
