About the Role

Corporate Staffing Service is recruiting an Accountant for a full-time position based in Nairobi. The successful candidate will join a team supporting a leading commercial transport and mobility solutions provider that specializes in trucks, trailers, tractors, tippers, motorcycles, and fleet management across Kenya. This Accountant Job requires someone with strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial records and reporting in a structured environment.

The role sits at the heart of the organization’s finance function. You will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and ensuring the company remains compliant with local statutory requirements and accounting standards. This is a hands-on position suited to someone with professional accounting qualifications and a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and manage general ledger accounts to ensure all financial transactions are properly documented.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment management.
• Conduct bank reconciliations, supplier reconciliations, and customer account reconciliations on a regular basis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities across the organization.
• Coordinate with internal audit teams and external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and compliance.
• Monitor adherence to accounting standards, company financial policies, and statutory tax and regulatory requirements.
• Provide financial analysis and supporting data to management for informed business decision-making.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• CPA(K) certification or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in accounting roles or financial record-keeping.
• Solid working knowledge of IFRS, Kenya tax regulations, and financial reporting frameworks.
• Proficiency with accounting software platforms and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical ability, written and verbal communication skills, and organizational capability.
• Demonstrated integrity and meticulous attention to detail in financial work.
