Qona Sacco is recruiting an ICT Support specialist to manage technical operations and user assistance across the organisation. Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, operating systems, networks, printers, and scanners across the organisation.
- Monitor ICT systems, networks, and related infrastructure to identify and prevent issues before they affect users.
- Handle incoming support requests and technical incidents with speed and effectiveness, both via phone and email.
- Deliver on-site and remote technical assistance to staff members, diagnosing and resolving problems quickly.
- Administer user accounts and manage access rights to systems and applications.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace ICT equipment as necessary to keep operations running.
- Evaluate new technologies and solutions that could improve the organisation’s operational efficiency.
- Conduct staff training sessions on ICT systems and application use as required.
- Strengthen information security practices and controls across all technical operations.
- Field routine inquiries from members and stakeholders via phone and email, directing queries to the appropriate departments.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, or a closely related field.
- Minimum two years of professional experience in ICT support or systems administration roles.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting ability and practical problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- Knowledge of information security best practices and standards.
- Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritise tasks effectively.
