About the Role

Tezza Business Solutions Ltd is recruiting a full-time IT Support Specialist for its Nairobi office. This position sits at the centre of the company’s technology operations, serving as the primary technical support contact for all staff across hardware, software, networking, and system connectivity. You will manage day-to-day IT helpdesk operations while maintaining infrastructure that supports a fintech lending platform serving customers across Kenya.

The ideal candidate brings at least three years of IT support experience, with a minimum of two years working within banking, microfinance, or fintech environments. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage first and second-line technical support for staff across all hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues, resolving tickets promptly and maintaining SLA targets.

  • Administer and maintain internal IT infrastructure including servers, endpoints, cloud platforms, and communication tools.

  • Monitor and support integration points between the lending platform and partner systems including mobile network operators, banks, digital wallets, and payment gateways.
  • Enforce IT security policies aligned with financial regulatory requirements; monitor systems for security incidents, unauthorised access, and anomalies, escalating alerts as needed.
  • Provide technical support for proprietary credit scoring and lending management systems; liaise with development teams on platform issues affecting availability or performance.
  • Support disaster recovery drills, business continuity planning, and failover testing; coordinate with external vendors, ISPs, and software suppliers for procurement and issue resolution.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum three years of IT support experience, with at least two years in a banking, microfinance, or fintech organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting financial technology platforms, digital lending systems, mobile money integrations, or payment processing environments.
  • Strong proficiency with Windows and/or macOS environments; expertise in Microsoft 365 and Azure AD administration.
  • Solid networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi, and firewall management.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) in a support or administrative capacity.
  • Familiarity with ITSM/helpdesk tools such as Jira Service Management, Freshdesk, or Zendesk.
  • Certifications in CompTIA A+/Network+, ITIL Foundation, Microsoft 365, or equivalent are advantageous.
