About the Role

Nexus Staffing Solutions is recruiting a Weighbridge Clerk to join an industrial plant in Nairobi. This is a full-time position requiring someone with strong numerical skills and meticulous attention to detail. The role sits at the operational hub of the facility, where you’ll manage all weight transactions, documentation, and record-keeping for incoming and outgoing materials.

In this Weighbridge Clerk role, you’ll work in a logistics and supply chain environment where accuracy directly impacts inventory control, compliance, and operational efficiency. The position demands someone organised and capable of maintaining precision under pressure, with the ability to liaise effectively across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Record the weight of all incoming and outgoing vehicles, materials, and products with precision and timeliness.
• Operate weighbridge equipment and ensure all transactions are captured accurately in the system.
• Generate weighbridge tickets, delivery notes, and supporting documentation for each transaction.
• Cross-check documentation accompanying materials entering and leaving the facility to verify authenticity and completeness.
• Maintain comprehensive weighbridge records and organise filing systems for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
• Compile daily, weekly, and monthly weighbridge reports and reconcile material movements to identify discrepancies.
• Escalate any irregularities, inconsistencies, or operational concerns to management without delay.
• Coordinate with transport, operations, production, and sales teams to ensure smooth facility workflow and assist with stock control reconciliation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in clerical or administrative work roles.
• Age 25 years or above.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and computer systems; ability to enter and retrieve data accurately.
• Strong numerical and analytical capability to handle calculations and identify discrepancies in records.
• Demonstrated excellence in record-keeping, documentation, and maintaining data integrity.
• Clear communication skills and ability to interact professionally with drivers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Previous experience in weighbridge operations, transport, logistics, manufacturing, quarry, construction, or industrial environments is advantageous.
