About the Role
Technobrain is recruiting a Presales Consultant to drive pre-sales activity and revenue growth across government and public sector clients in Africa and Asia. This is a full-time position based in Kenya, supporting the delivery of solutions in Digital Identity, Public Financial Management (PFM), and Tax Administration. The Presales Consultant at Technobrain will manage the complete pre-sales lifecycle—from RFP analysis through proposal development, solution design, and deal closure—working with enterprise and government buyers.
The role combines technical depth with commercial acumen. You will translate complex client requirements into winning solution architectures, lead bid defenses, and collaborate across sales, delivery, and product teams. This position suits someone with substantial enterprise software experience who understands government procurement processes and can articulate technical value to both business and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end pre-sales activities for enterprise and public sector opportunities, including RFP management, analysis, and response strategy
- Develop technical and commercial proposals that address client compliance requirements and evaluation criteria across Digital Identity, PFM, and Tax domains
- Design solution architectures that align with client business objectives, incorporating integration approaches, deployment models (cloud, on-premises, hybrid), and system interoperability considerations
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept activities tailored to client needs and decision-maker expectations
- Build compelling value propositions and competitive differentiators to strengthen bid competitiveness
- Support bid defense sessions, client workshops, and technical validation discussions with procurement teams
- Maintain an organized library of reusable proposal templates, case studies, solution artifacts, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with sales, product, and delivery teams across regional markets to ensure proposal quality and on-time submission
Requirements & Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience in pre-sales consulting, solution architecture, bid management, or technical sales for enterprise software and IT solutions
- Demonstrated track record designing and architecting complex, large-scale solutions for government or enterprise environments
- Hands-on experience responding to public sector RFPs and tenders, preferably in African and/or Asian markets
- Working knowledge of government platforms and domains—specifically Digital Identity systems, Public Financial Management, Tax Administration, or equivalent mission-critical applications
- Ability to translate business requirements and functional specifications into scalable, secure, and performant technology architectures
- Experience in end-to-end solution design, including integration architecture, deployment strategy assessment, and interoperability planning
- Proficiency in proposal writing, technical documentation, bid responses, and solution presentations to senior stakeholders
- Capability to manage multiple bids and solution workstreams concurrently under compressed timelines while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to complex enterprise environments; experience with open-source technologies is advantageous
- Proven ability to work effectively across product, engineering, delivery, and sales functions; willingness to travel as required for client engagement
