Social Media The Position:
Are you a social media enthusiast? Do you have a strong interest in insights and analytics? Are you ready to apply your creative ideas to tackle the climate crisis and social injustice?
As the Web and Social Media Officer, you’ll play a crucial role in managing ActionAid International’s social media presence and website. You will provide tactical and operational support, evaluating our social media performance through data analysis and utilizing the insights to enhance our platforms.
With a proven track record of building engagement and expanding reach across social media channels, you will leverage impactful content and compelling messages to craft high-performing posts. These posts will create resonance and encourage conversations across various platforms like X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Your effective communication skills will facilitate collaboration with the federation and external stakeholders. You will design innovative social and digital strategies to launch multi-country campaigns and fundraising initiatives.
Qualities We Seek:
- Demonstrable achievements in boosting engagement and raising an organization’s profile through social media platforms.
- Proficiency in managing social media platforms, including engagement, analytics, and the management of external channels and conversations during risks or crises.
- Ability to write for diverse audiences and convert complex information into compelling content for social posts, blogs, and news articles.
- Previous experience crafting digital or communication strategies for non-profit organizations, NGOs, political groups, or advocacy organizations.
- Familiarity with web analytics platforms (preferably Google Analytics) and social media analytics tools.
- Prior experience in managing websites with multiple functionalities, such as fundraising, supporter engagement, and policy communication, using various Content Management Systems (including Drupal).
