Job Purpose

The Watchman will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the school premises by controlling access, monitoring activities, and ensuring a secure environment for learners, staff, and visitors.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Guard the school compound and monitor entry and exit points to prevent unauthorized access

• Conduct regular patrols within the premises to identify and address security risks

• Report suspicious activities, safety concerns, or incidents to school management promptly

• Ensure school property and facilities are protected from theft, vandalism, or damage

• Assist in enforcing school security procedures and rules

• Maintain a security logbook and record daily occurrences

Job Requirements

• KCSE certificate

• Basic knowledge of security operations and procedures

• Ability to remain alert and attentive during working hours

• Good discipline, integrity, and reliability

• Physically fit and able to work flexible hours if required
