Waiter at Premier Hospital

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure proper order taking of meals in accordance with the menu, food service to all patients, staff or any other visitor who has been authorized by the management to take meals. Also, clearance of utensils after meals have been consumed.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serving meals and beverages to patients and staff as per their request.
• Check all food service areas for clearance purposes to maintain hygiene standards.
• Ensure all service equipment is well cleaned and sanitized before and after service
• Ensure proper food storage and cleanliness in all food stores
• Draft monthly duty rota with colleagues and present it to the chef for verification.
• Document all complimentary meals in the order book and get them signed by SLT member who authorized.
• Taking monthly stock of all services equipment
• Receiving quality products from the store and informing supervisors on items running out of stock.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS

• At least KCSE Certificate.
• Certificate in any hospitality institution/ inhouse training
• At least 2 years of experience in a busy hospitality organization.
