Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist guests by providing them with detailed information about menu items in a helpful and informative manner.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of beverage selections, promotional offers, menu items, and preparation methods. Speak passionately and informatively about our offerings.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols while handling food and beverages.
  • Set up and dismantle service stations as needed.
  • Take food and beverage orders from guests at their tables and serve them in a professional and positive demeanor.
  • Provide service in alignment with Fairmont and Hotel Standards.
  • Foster an inviting and welcoming environment.
  • Deliver efficient and polished food and beverage service while building strong connections with guests, creating an experience rather than just a meal.
  • Handle cash transactions.
  • Adapt service flow to suit the preferences of diners.
  • Review daily reports including arrivals, VIPs, and groups, following up on necessary actions.
  • Stay informed about all hotel activities and businesses on a daily basis, assisting guests accordingly.
  • Occasionally work as a bar server and oversee outlet operations behind the bar.
  • Fulfill all guest requests while proactively anticipating their needs.
  • Ensure smooth operations at each table.
  • Assist in maintaining the smooth flow of guest requirements and preferences at every table.
  • Clear used crockery, cutlery, and other items promptly.
  • As needed, assist with buffets by ensuring replenishment, cleanliness, and responding to guest requests.

Qualifications

Your Experience and Abilities Include:

  • A minimum of 1 year’s experience in the Food and Beverage sector, preferably at a luxury establishment.
  • Proficiency in a Point of Sale System is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with interpersonal proficiency.
  • Demonstrated dedication to guest service.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities while delivering outstanding guest service.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
