Travel Agent Job at Grand Global Tours Ltd

We are seeking to recruit a travel agent to join our enthusiastic team (GG Tours, as we proudly call ourselves). Their responsibilities will entail;

• Liaise with clients to determine their needs in regards destinations, modes of transport, travel dates, costs and accommodations
• Booking flights and any other modes of transport that are to be used
• Provide relevant information (including on brochures and publications) to travelers.
• Receiving payments or ensuring payment is done as per agreements
• Deal with occurring travel problems, complaints or refunds
• Attend travel seminars whenever possible to remain updated with tourism trends
• Enter data into our software and maintain client file
• Network with tour operators and other stakeholders
• Meet the agreed upon sales targets

The person MUST have the following qualifications:

• Diploma in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business or relevant field
• At least 1 year experience as a Travel Agent
• Excellent knowledge of computer reservations systems, GDS systems and e-travelling
• Fluency in English; multilingualism is a plus
• Strong sales skills and commercial awareness
• Ability to interact, communicate and negotiate effectively
• Sound knowledge of domestic and international travel trends
• Personal travel experience will be considered as an advantage
