Job Opportunity: System Analyst, Business Intelligence (BI) – (KET 6)

Reporting to: Senior Officer Information Technology & Innovation

Job Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced System Analyst with expertise in Business Intelligence (BI). In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing data integrity in income recognition across our global organization and ensuring alignment of data and reporting between systems and entities.

Key Responsibilities:

Transactional Activities:

  • Process monthly income postings in SAP for received income.
  • Verify that all transactions reconcile with bank, finance, and grant modules, accounting for relevant currencies.

Reporting and Reconciliation:

  • Generate monthly reports.
  • Assist in creating monthly income reconciliations among various organizations.

Processes and Compliance:

  • Monitor compliance with the Income process across all Plan entities.
  • Provide guidance as a subject matter expert on BI-related tasks and solutions to the senior officer.
  • Drive, organize, and lead BI projects for the implementation and enhancement of BI functionalities.
  • Develop low to complex, cross-functional, and enterprise business intelligence solutions.
  • Design business intelligence solutions.
  • Collaborate with user departments to enhance existing and new Business Intelligence reporting needs.
  • Implement standards and policies related to Business Intelligence systems.
  • Analyze functional business processes and develop business cases for changes and enhancements.
  • Identify and interpret business requirements and determine optimal Business Intelligence solutions.
  • Research new Business Intelligence technology opportunities to improve business operations.
  • Source data from multiple platforms to create reports in various formats.
  • Develop, execute, and document user test plans.
  • Create reports following best practices and ICT standards.
  • Provide guidance for planning, designing, and executing user acceptance testing for Business Intelligence solutions.
  • Train business users on transforming data into actionable information and its correct use.
  • Collaborate with other ICT functional units to deploy software and hardware upgrades, modifications, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Business Intelligence systems.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement data warehouse systems for BI reporting and analysis.
  • Generate BI reports, dashboards, and data models using BI tools and MS-Office products.
  • Clarify master data setup, configuration, and integration strategies with Business Analysts and Systems Analysts to develop tightly integrated solutions.
  • Identify data quality gaps and develop plans to address them.
  • Design, develop, and implement Microsoft Power BI queries and applications.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business/Computer Science/Management Information Systems/Business IT Administration/Economics or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • SAP Certified Technology Associate – Business Intelligence or Microsoft Business Intelligence Certification.
  • Membership and Accreditation with ICT Authority.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.

  • Current Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
  • Current Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
