Store Clerk at Peoplelink Consultants Ltd – Peoplelink Consultants Ltd Kenya Job Details
Responsbilities
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record all incoming materials, spare parts, consumables, and cylinders.
- Issue materials exclusively to authorized personnel upon verification of approved requisitions.
- Maintain accurate stock records and perform regular, necessary stock reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Update inventory management systems meticulously and report any stock discrepancies promptly to management.
- Ensure all materials are properly labelled, safely stored, and secured in compliance with organizational safety standards. Monitor current stock levels and proactively raise purchase requisitions for timely replenishment to prevent shortages.
- Assist in periodic physical inventory counts and audits as required by the company.
- Maintain the cleanliness and optimal organization of the entire store and warehouse area.
- Coordinate effectively with procurement, operations, and logistics teams to guarantee timely supply and dispatch operations.
- Strictly comply with all safety, health, and environmental regulations related to materials handling, particularly gas storage.
Requirements
- Minimum: Diploma or Certificate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Requires 1-3 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory, or warehouse operations.
- Experience in the oil & gas or energy sector is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with gas equipment, cylinders, and related safety standards is necessary.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office and proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally).
- Demonstrable strong attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities are essential. Physical capacity to lift moderate weights and work consistently in an industrial/depot environment.
