About the Role

Classic Mouldings Limited is recruiting a Showroom Sales Representative to join its sales team in Nairobi. This is a full-time position focused on client engagement, product advisory, and driving sales within the showroom environment. The role combines direct client interaction with technical product knowledge to support homeowners, interior designers, architects, and contractors in selecting appropriate mouldings and decorative architectural solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a background in interior finishes, construction materials, or architectural product sales, with the ability to read drawings, understand design requirements, and convert client inquiries into confirmed orders. You’ll work across multiple departments to ensure smooth order processing and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and serve walk-in clients as well as those with scheduled appointments, understanding their budgets, design preferences, and specific requirements.
• Analyse client needs and recommend suitable moulding profiles, wall finishes, and decorative architectural products that match their project scope.
• Generate quotations and actively work to close sales transactions, meeting showroom revenue targets.
• Build and sustain professional relationships with homeowners, interior designers, architects, and contractors for repeat business.
• Review architectural and interior drawings to advise on appropriate product selections, finishes, and installation logistics.
• Develop finish schedules and material specifications with clients, ensuring clarity on product combinations and aesthetic outcomes.
• Prepare detailed quotations, technical specifications, and supporting project documentation for client records.
• Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, project requirements, and quotation status; coordinate with sales, quantity surveying, and stores teams for order fulfilment and delivery schedules.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in interior finishes sales, construction materials distribution, or architectural product representation.
• Proven track record in customer-facing sales roles, ideally within a showroom or construction-related business setting.
• Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and work from architectural and interior design drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a capacity to negotiate and build long-term client relationships.
• Comfort working in a sales-driven environment with clear performance targets and revenue accountability.
