The authority is currently recruiting for multiple positions in office administration and facilities management to strengthen its operations across departments.

These full-time Government positions in Kenya are based in Nairobi and offer candidates the opportunity to contribute to Kenya’s health sector infrastructure. Both roles sit within the Administration and Facilities directorate and require experienced professionals with proven track records in office management, asset control, and administrative support services.

Open Positions

Senior Assistant Office Administrator

  • Receive and transcribe spoken correspondence and instructions from senior staff members
  • Access and analyse data using electronic office management systems and prepare reports
  • Maintain secure, organized filing systems and ensure confidentiality of classified materials and sensitive documents
  • Greet and assist visitors, manage incoming calls, and book conference and meeting facilities as needed
  • Respond to routine written inquiries and correspondence on behalf of the office
  • Manage petty cash accounts and maintain accurate records of transactions
  • Assess operational vulnerabilities within the department and report risks to management
  • Support implementation of departmental business continuity plans and process improvement initiatives

Administration Officer

  • Allocate and monitor office space assignments to ensure efficient use of Authority facilities
  • Track the movement and location of office equipment across departments
  • Verify that office machines and equipment remain in working order and arrange repairs when needed
  • Oversee insurance renewals, visa applications, and transport licensing compliance for organizational vehicles
  • Supervise administrative staff including drivers and office assistants, and sign off on vehicle maintenance tickets
  • Maintain comprehensive inventory records of Authority assets and equipment
  • Coordinate daily and weekly cleaning services across facilities

General Requirements

For Senior Assistant Office Administrator:

  • Minimum nine (9) years cumulative work experience, with at least three (3) years at the Assistant Office Administrator I grade or equivalent position in public or private sector
  • Diploma in Secretarial Studies from Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) or accredited institution
  • Current membership in good standing with a relevant professional body
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications and office software
  • Proven work performance record showing merit and ability in previous roles

For Administration Officer:

  • Minimum three (3) years relevant work experience at Administration Officer II grade or equivalent role in public or private sector
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Office Management, or Social Science from a recognized institution
  • Proficiency with computer applications and office systems
  • Documented evidence of merit and ability based on work performance and measurable results
