Qualifications for Appointment

To be appointed to this position, a teacher should meet the following criteria:

1. Have worked as a Senior Teacher II (T-Scale 7) for a minimum of three (3) years.
2. Attain a satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal process.
3. Display the capability to oversee, guide, and offer professional assistance to fellow teachers.
4. Fulfill the requirements outlined in Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
5. Fulfill any additional requirements set by the Commission.

Application Process

Note: Candidates in Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL) as well as remote and difficult-to-staff counties who have spent a minimum of 2 years in the current grade are eligible.

Candidates who successfully pass the interviews must provide valid Chapter 6 documents before finalizing their appointment.

Note: Candidates from regular schools with Special Needs Education (SNE) certificates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Candidates who clear the interview phase will need to provide valid Chapter Six documents prior to being considered for appointment.
