Open Positions

Patient Transfer and Attendance Staff

  • Provide hands-on assistance to patients with eating, personal hygiene, and movement, treating each person with respect and dignity.
  • Observe and report any shifts in patient mood, physical condition, or behaviour to the nursing team without delay.
  • Operate hospital vehicles to transport patients safely to medical appointments, rehabilitation sessions, and external facilities while maintaining vehicle cleanliness and fuel readiness.
  • Prepare and maintain clean, safe patient rooms and beds; perform light housekeeping as directed.
  • Accompany patients to therapy sessions and organised activities, providing supervision and practical support.
  • Monitor for signs of elopement or self-harm; take appropriate action and document incidents for clinical staff review.
  • Record interactions, vital observations, and safety concerns with accuracy and timeliness.

Laundry Attendant

  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and press hospital linens and garments to established quality standards.
  • Check items for stains or tears and apply suitable cleaning treatments before processing.
  • Operate laundry machinery safely and perform routine maintenance to keep equipment in working order.
  • Keep the laundry work area clean and organised; track supplies and report when stock runs low.
  • Collect clean laundry from designated departments and deliver items to the correct locations on schedule.
  • Maintain written records of deliveries and ensure all health and safety protocols are followed.

General Requirements

  • Hold a valid Kenya driving licence with a clean driving record.
  • For Patient Transfer and Attendance Staff: two years of prior experience in a psychiatric or mental health hospital setting is essential.
  • For Laundry Attendant: prior experience in a laundry facility, hospitality, or dry-cleaning environment is advantageous.
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle chemical products and operate mechanical equipment safely.
  • Show strong attention to detail, organisational ability, and reliable timekeeping.
  • Maintain clear communication and provide respectful, professional service to colleagues and patients.
