About the Role

Ando is recruiting an Operations Associate to join its kitchen operations team in Kenya on a full-time basis. You will serve as a central coordinator between kitchen staff, delivery riders, customer support, and digital ordering systems, ensuring orders move efficiently from preparation through delivery. This role suits someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and can manage multiple priorities without losing sight of detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and manage orders as they arrive across delivery platforms and internal management systems
• Liaise with kitchen teams to set order priorities and remove operational delays or blockers
• Coordinate with delivery riders on order pickups and ensure smooth handoff of completed orders
• Check orders for accuracy, visual presentation, and packaging quality before they leave the kitchen
• Handle escalations involving customers, riders, or operational issues as they arise during the shift
• Collect and review key metrics including order prep time, dispatch time, and accuracy rates
• Assist with stock checks on packaging materials and supplies used in daily operations
• Ensure compliance with food safety protocols and cleanliness standards across kitchen areas

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field
• 1 or more years of hands-on experience in operations, hospitality, logistics, retail, restaurant, or customer service environments
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to manage multiple tasks at once
• Clear communication skills and ability to solve problems under pressure
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume operational setting
• Attention to detail and genuine ownership of your work output
• Working knowledge of Google Sheets, Excel, and standard digital platforms
