Job Description

Our client is a fast-growing startup mobile app that integrates with WhatsApp and empowers agriculture extension agents to provide their farmers with technical advisory services efficiently and effectively connecting farmers with targeted knowledge on how to improve their climate resilience! Is looking to hire an online User Coordinator to manage and coordinate communication and engagements with our users, who are mainly farmers and extension agents.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Review, adapt, and update the organization communities and social media content framework and work plan for each country in collaboration with the country coordinators, project managers, and the farm’s better program director.

  • Working with the program director and tech developers to gain an understanding and develop the community creation and moderation process across the 8 countries where we have users.

  • Research and provide engaging texts, images, and video content related to Agriculture for WhatsApp and Facebook announcements (and other Social Media channels) according to the community content framework.

  • Coordinate with the support of the country coordinators the creation and moderation of user WhatsApp and Facebook groups by developing our communities and groups’ rules and monitoring and taking action against any misuse.

  • Respond promptly to WhatsApp, Facebook, and other social media messages and user queries.

  • Monitor and report on user feedback for further action by the team.

  • Lead and coordinate with the country coordinators the creation of extension agents.

  • WhatsApp groups and updating through the farm’s better online dashboard the Whatsapp link.

  • Lead and coordinate with the country coordinators using the Farm-better online dashboard to manage the matching of an extension agent and a farmer.

  • Provide weekly data analytics on user onboarding, engagement, and experience reports as per the far better online data dashboard.

  • Regularly post on Farmbetter’s social media channels in collaboration with the Farm Better team.


  • Highly tech-savvy and familiar with mobile apps and tech.

  • Experience in moderation of WhatsApp communities and groups.

  • Experience in social media content management and development.

  • Experience launching WhatsApp communities and groups.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent writing skills.

  • Ability to work on an online dashboard and interpret online customer engagement metrics.

  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and work independently.
