The Office Support Staff – Messenger will be responsible for the efficient and timely delivery and collection of documents, packages, and other items within and outside the organization’s premises. This role requires a reliable, organized, and responsible individual with excellent communication skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective records management by delivering mail and messages as required across the Organization.
- Use various means of transport to move from one destination to another to deliver messages or materials.
- Effectively plan and follow the most efficient route to ensure timely delivery of letters/parcels/goods.
- Unload and sort items collected along delivery routes in an efficient and secure manner.
- Collection and delivery of mail and other documents/packages or materials to their destinations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure the office and meeting rooms are clean and all equipment is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records related to the receipt and delivery of packages, documents, messages, and other items.
- Participate in departmental initiatives and development activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
- Valid KCSE Certificate.
Work Experience
- Two (2) years of relevant work experience in a busy office environment within organization of similar scope.
