About the Role
PCEA Kikuyu Hospital is recruiting for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation’s strategic direction, operational performance, and institutional development. This is a full-time position based in Nairobi, reporting to the Board of Trustees. As Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at PCEA Kikuyu Hospital, you will oversee all aspects of hospital operations, financial management, staff development, and strategic planning. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the hospital’s strategic plan in alignment with the organisation’s mission and Board directives.
- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, resource allocation, and operational efficiency across all departments.
- Provide leadership and direction to the management team, ensuring accountability and performance against agreed targets.
- Drive innovation and digital transformation initiatives, including the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide artificial intelligence strategy.
- Maintain regulatory compliance, accreditation standards, and quality assurance frameworks within the healthcare sector.
- Engage with stakeholders including the Board, staff, patients, donors, government agencies, and the broader community.
- Build and sustain a high-performing organisational culture focused on staff development and retention.
- Lead during operational crises and challenging situations with composure and strategic thinking.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare Management (MHA), Healthcare Innovation (MHI), or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 15 years of management experience, with at least 10 years in senior leadership positions within a hospital or large healthcare facility.
- Valid professional certification and registration with the appropriate regulatory body in your field.
- Demonstrated experience in a mission hospital or faith-based healthcare setting is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans with measurable outcomes and financial impact.
- Strong capability in data analysis, digital tools, and a forward-thinking approach to healthcare innovation.
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated success in managing diverse stakeholder groups.
- Active Christian faith commitment with evidence of spiritual maturity and alignment with Presbyterian Church values.
