As a Merchandiser, your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing priorities with your supervisor and following the established call cycle.
  • Discussing special instructions, product promotions, new items, and price changes.
  • Recording and inputting data accurately using Hand Held Terminals (HHT), while maintaining data integrity.
  • Visiting modern trade outlets and General Trade outlets to maintain customer relationships.
  • Addressing store inquiries, responding to special requests, and describing product features.
  • Achieving set sales targets consistently.
  • Collecting sales orders from outlets on a daily basis.
  • Organizing store shelves by arranging product displays, removing damaged or expired items, and ensuring optimal product placement.
  • Monitoring and replenishing inventory by restocking shelves, prompting reorder when inventory is low, and handling damaged product returns.
  • Following layout and theme guidelines as per the plan.
  • Maintaining the required minimum number of stores.
  • Focusing on customer/client satisfaction.
  • Managing shelf health and administrative tasks.

Requirements:

What are we looking for? To be eligible for this role, you should possess:

  • 0 – 1 year of experience in retail outlet merchandising.
  • O level Certificate/KCSE Certificate.
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Strong time management abilities.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Keen attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Interpersonal skills.
