In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Maintaining and supporting point of sale (POS) and back-office systems.
  2. Providing support for new store openings, functionality enhancements, and system upgrades.
  3. Configuring and maintaining various hardware components such as computers, POS peripherals, handheld terminals, and networking equipment within retail stores.
  4. Offering initial support to address customer requests.
  5. Diagnosing customer issues and performing troubleshooting.
  6. Resolving customer issues through phone support with customers.
  7. Referring complex customer issues to higher-level support when necessary.
  8. Conducting on-site diagnostics, hardware repairs, and software upgrades as required.
  9. Ensuring accurate documentation of all handled service calls.
  10. Following up with customers to ensure their concerns are adequately addressed.
  11. Staying up-to-date with all Service Desk processes and troubleshooting procedures.

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Holds a university degree in Computer Science or a related field, or possesses equivalent qualifications.
  • Has a minimum of 2 years of helpdesk support experience, with preference given to candidates with support experience in POS systems.
  • Is fluent in English, both in written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of Windows server/client operating systems, PC hardware, and local area networking.
  • Possesses at least entry-level knowledge of SQL Server.
  • Exhibits the ability to work effectively in a multinational and multicultural environment.
  • Has the capacity to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Is willing and able to travel frequently, both locally and internationally.
  • Possesses excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Displays outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Works well as part of a team and excels in communication.
