IT Intern Responsibilities

  1. Assist the IT team in providing technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  2. Help with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and software.
  3. Perform regular system checks, updates, and backups to ensure data integrity and system security.
  4. Participate in IT asset management, including inventory tracking and documentation.
  5. Collaborate with the IT team to set up and maintain office equipment, including printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
  6. Aid in user account management, password resets, and access control.
  7. Contribute to the creation and updating of technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
  8. Support IT projects, such as software deployments and infrastructure upgrades.
  9. Stay up-to-date with the latest IT trends and technologies to share insights with the team.
  10. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while providing exceptional customer service to internal users.

Requirements

  1. Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
  3. Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and macOS.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and end-users.
  7. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
  8. Prior IT internship or relevant work experience is a plus but not mandatory.
