Investments Analyst Internship at Cytonn Investments

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

1. Conducting comprehensive research and analysis on companies and investment opportunities across various sectors including Real Estate, Private Equity, Structured Products, Equities, and Fixed Income.
2. Creating financial models and performing data analysis.
3. Examining historical and projected financial statements and investment data.
4. Generating original investment research content.
5. Compiling written reports and delivering verbal presentations.
6. Investigating country, industry, and capital market trends.
7. Participating in the development, formulation, and execution of investment strategies.
8. Contributing actively to investment meetings and review sessions.
9. Conducting industry and customer assessments for the Investment and business development teams.
10. Collaborating with clients to establish financial plans to provide well-founded financial advice.
11. Creating relevant presentations for various events.
12. Adhering to all corporate policies and procedures.
13. Producing thought leadership content and writing articles.
14. Undertaking any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

1. A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with Upper Second Class Honours or its equivalent.
2. Attained at least a B+ in KCSE or its equivalent.
3. Making satisfactory progress towards professional qualifications in finance/investments such as CIFA/CFA or being a registered student actively pursuing CFA, CIFA, CPA, or CAIA qualifications.
4. Possessing excellent analytical skills and strong quantitative abilities.
5. Capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently, demonstrating precision, organization, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
6. Competent in independently completing assigned projects with minimal guidance.
7. Proficient in synthesizing information from diverse sources and distilling key insights to steer future actions.
