Main Responsibilities:

As an Intern, you will work closely with the Senior Manager and the Human Resource Management team, providing support in various areas, including:

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:

  • Assist in coordinating written and oral interviews, under supervision.
  • Support in coding Written Interview Responses.
  • Prepare Candidate profiles for the interview panel a day ahead of oral interviews.
  • Ensure all documents are in order within National Office Files.
  • Help plan for candidates’ needs during Physical Oral Interviews, such as snacks and lunch.

Onboarding & Orientation:

  • Ensure the onboarding checklist is completed before the new staff’s reporting date.
  • Send advance notice to the security office about new staff joining.
  • Conduct basic P&C orientation on the first day.
  • Provide a tour of the Karen Complex to new staff.
  • Ensure the orientation program is completed by the third day.
  • Organize and coordinate the monthly induction program.
  • Assist in the hiring process on Workday and ensure manager approval.

Staff Movements:

  • Assist in facilitating staff movements, including drafting and sending Transfers and Reassignments.

GRIP Representative:

  • Coordinate Quarterly Review Meetings for GRIP Interns with guidance from the GRIP Coordinator and the Committee.
  • Act as a liaison between Interns and management, particularly regarding P&C matters.

Other:

  • Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by a supervisor or designated individual.
  • Participate and contribute to committees and task forces as required.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a Kenyan citizen.
  • Recent graduate, having completed studies no earlier than 2022 from a recognized University.
  • Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Young Christian professionals aged 25 or below, actively engaged in church with a strong Christian commitment. They should have experience in Christian Leadership, including outreach and missions involvement.
  • Graduates with demonstrated good character, honesty, and high competency. They should be in good physical and emotional health, supported by recent medical check-up results. This is important for potential placements anywhere in Kenya.
  • Preference will be given to graduates who are either beneficiaries of World Vision’s child sponsorship program or who have experienced the impact of World Vision Kenya’s community development initiatives.
