About the Role

AIC Kijabe Hospital is recruiting an ICT Intern to join its Information and Communication Technology department. This is a full-time internship position based in Kenya, offering hands-on experience in hospital IT infrastructure, systems support, and technical troubleshooting. The role provides practical exposure to real-world healthcare IT operations within a healthcare setting.

As an ICT Intern at AIC Kijabe Hospital, you will support the IT team in maintaining and optimizing the hospital’s technology infrastructure. This internship in Kenya is designed for candidates with foundational ICT knowledge who are ready to develop practical skills in operating systems, networking, and hardware systems in a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and maintaining Windows and Linux operating systems across hospital workstations and servers
• Support network infrastructure operations including LAN/WAN configuration, IP addressing, and management of routers and switches
• Provide frontline hardware troubleshooting and repair services for end-user devices and equipment
• Help maintain Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace environments used across the hospital
• Contribute to documentation of IT systems, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures
• Support IT security practices and incident response activities within the organization
• Collaborate with the IT team on system updates, patches, and maintenance activities

Requirements & Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Information and Communication Technology
• Working knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including LAN/WAN, IP addressing, routers, and switches
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365 or Google Workspace
• Competence in hardware troubleshooting and repair procedures
• Knowledge of software development fundamentals (preferred)
• Familiarity with cybersecurity basics and best practices (preferred)
