Healthcare Assistant at Premier Hospital

Job Purpose

Assisting the nurse with basic patient care.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Maintaining a clean patients/ section environment in the unit.
2. Escorting stable patients on discharge within and outside the hospital including porter’s services.
3. Cleaning/ decontaminating the linens and instruments after procedure.
4. Assembling the required items for admission.
5. Ensure superior customer experience for all internal and external customers.
6. Assist the nurse in bed baths, bedmaking, feeding stable patients and any other tasks assigned by the nurse within the patient attendant’s scope of practice.
7. Any other duties assigned by the supervisor in line with the job description.

Minimum Requirements/ Qualifications

1. Certificate in Health Care Assistant Course/ Patient attendant course.
2. Updated Basic life support certification.
3. 2 years of working experience in a busy hospital set-up
