Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the safety, security, and compliance of all vehicles on the lot in accordance with company standard operating procedures, conducting regular walks to verify correct positioning, secure storage, and presentable condition.
- Perform vehicle check-ins upon arrival, recording condition, mileage, fuel level, and any pre-existing damage with accuracy and completeness.
- Drive and relocate vehicles within and between branches as instructed by the Fleet Manager, ensuring all movements are logged and authorized before execution.
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules for vehicles on the lot, confirming each inspection is completed on schedule and maintenance records are kept current.
- Flag vehicles requiring unscheduled maintenance or repairs promptly to prevent operational delays.
- Manage vehicle handovers to customers, internal staff, or other branches, completing all documentation accurately and filing according to protocol.
- Maintain secure custody of KD and KG dealer number plates, tracking issuance and return through the designated log to ensure full accountability.
- Manage and track all vehicle keys, ensuring each is tagged and stored correctly, and recording all issuances and returns in the key management register without exception.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Current, valid Kenyan driving license (mandatory).
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police.
- Working knowledge of computer systems, with demonstrated proficiency in Google Sheets for logging and data tracking.
- Ability to capture accurate information during vehicle check-ins, handovers, and administrative record-keeping.
- Capacity to perform regular vehicle movements, site inspections, and hands-on operational tasks comfortably.
- Proven ability to follow documented procedures, meet deadlines, and take personal ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Effective communication and coordination with supervisors and team members in a structured environment.
- Certificate or diploma in automotive technology, mechanics, or a related field (advantageous but not required).
