Fixed Asset Junior Accountant at Penda Health – Penda Health Kenya Job Details

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

We are looking for a Fixed Asset Junior Accountant who will be responsible  to  maintain an accurate record of all the assets owned by the company and their value and maintenance of the capital budget for all assets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare monthly reconciliations of fixed asset data in Excel with General Ledger balances for all medical centers and the support office.
• Ensure all assets are accurately recorded and their locations properly tracked.
• Conduct periodic physical stock takes of fixed assets as required
• Maintain an accurate fixed asset register
• Manage asset transfers and update locations as necessary.
• Ensure that all assets are categorized into the correct fixed asset class.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Finance,Accounting or Business Administration
• CPA II certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong team player with effective problem-solving abilities.
• Strong analytical and ledger reconciliation skills.
• 1-2 yrs experience working as an accountant in a busy organization. Experience in FAR accounting is an added advantage.
