About the Role

Standard Group is recruiting Finance Interns to join its accounting department in Nairobi. This internship position is designed for recent graduates or final-year students pursuing qualifications in finance, accounting, or related disciplines. The Finance Interns at Standard Group will work under the supervision of the finance team, contributing to daily accounting activities and financial reporting processes. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and processing of financial documents and accounting records
• Support the reconciliation of accounts and verification of financial transactions
• Help maintain financial records and ensure accurate data entry into accounting systems
• Contribute to the compilation of financial reports and statements under supervision
• Perform calculations and numerical analysis on financial data as assigned
• Support the finance team with general administrative and clerical tasks related to accounting operations

Requirements & Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Strong numerical and analytical capabilities with attention to detail
• Foundational understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial calculations
• Familiarity with financial systems and accounting software is advantageous
• CPA Part 2 qualification or progress towards professional accounting certification is an added benefit
