Ando is recruiting a Finance Associate to join its finance operations team in Kenya. This is a full-time position focused on cash reconciliation, payment tracking, and financial compliance across the delivery network. You’ll work with operational and finance teams to maintain accurate records, identify discrepancies, and support process improvements in a high-volume environment.
The Finance Associate at Ando role sits at the intersection of finance operations and logistics compliance. You’ll manage daily cash flows, verify rider payments, and ensure all branches operate within established financial controls. This position requires precision, ownership, and the ability to work with large datasets and multiple payment channels simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily reconciliation of cash collections from riders, branches, and multiple payment channels
- Verify rider payments and confirm timely remittance of all collected funds
- Conduct follow-up with riders and branch teams on outstanding balances, discrepancies, and compliance issues
- Support the calculation of rider payouts and delivery-related compensation
- Compile daily and weekly reconciliation reports and financial summaries for management review
- Monitor branch compliance with cash handling procedures and operational finance standards
- Detect operational leakages, process gaps, and discrepancies, then escalate findings to senior staff
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams on audit activities, internal controls, and workflow improvements
- Validate operational system data against platform records and internal ledgers to ensure accuracy
Requirements & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of professional experience in finance, reconciliation, audit, accounting, or a closely related field
- Demonstrated experience in reconciliation work or audit processes is highly valued
- Strong attention to detail with a personal commitment to accuracy and ownership of outcomes
- Proficiency in handling large datasets and analyzing operational reports
- Solid working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting
- Ability to perform effectively in an operations-heavy environment with competing priorities
- Reliable written and verbal communication skills with strong follow-up discipline
- Prior experience in logistics, delivery operations, retail, FMCG, or restaurant business models is advantageous
