Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analyst to support our SME programs. The Data Analyst will be responsible for configuring and analyzing enterprise-level data and core SME metrics for program graduates. The Data Analyst will work closely with the Product Operations Manager, M&E team, Senior Data Engineer and Data Visualization Specialist to ensure that data is accurately captured, cleaned, validated, and analyzed to support decision-making and program improvements.This role is critical for data management, including solid processes to capture, clean, validate, and analyze key financial metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data management processes for capturing, cleaning, validating, and analyzing key financial metrics for SME program graduates.
- Configure and analyze enterprise-level data to support strategic decision-making and program improvements.
- Collaborate with the data team to design and build learning analytics and impact dashboards in AMI’s data warehouse.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing robust data quality assurance procedures.
- Provide technical assistance to program staff on data-related issues, including training and mentoring on data management and analysis.
- Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries, metadata, and data models.
- Contribute to organizational learning by sharing data analysis best practices, lessons learned, and success stories.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience using Google Sheets.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using statistical software such as SPSS,STATA,or R.
- Strong interpersonal and team management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, data science, economics, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, with demonstrated experience in managing and analyzing large datasets.
- Experience in data management, including data cleaning, validation, and analysis.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience in the SME sector or in analyzing financial metrics is an added advantage.
