About the Role

Influx is recruiting a Customer Service Representative (Music and basic Tech) for a full-time position based in Nairobi. This role sits at the intersection of customer support operations and technical assistance, requiring someone who can manage voice-based inquiries while demonstrating familiarity with audio equipment and music streaming platforms. You’ll be working with clients who rely on Influx’s technology solutions, handling their concerns with professionalism while identifying ways to support sales objectives.

This is a full-time position with evening and weekend availability required. The shift runs from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM Kenya Time. Key Responsibilities

  • Answer customer inquiries and manage support requests through voice channels, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor throughout interactions.
  • Support the sales team by engaging with customers to identify business opportunities and relay relevant information to the appropriate departments.
  • Guide customers through troubleshooting steps for audio and music streaming solutions, explaining technical concepts clearly when needed.
  • Enter and maintain accurate account information in internal management systems, ensuring all customer interactions are properly documented.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to escalate or resolve technical or service-related problems that fall outside standard support procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

You must meet at least 5 of the following criteria:

  • Proven experience working in a voice-based customer support capacity at a call center, BPO, or similar environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities in English, paired with genuine empathy for customer concerns and the ability to respond to needs appropriately.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software or similar contact management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues and apply logical problem-solving methods to resolve them.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with reliable record-keeping and consistent follow-up on customer matters.
  • Current knowledge of music streaming platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, or similar services, as well as awareness of current music industry trends.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly, stay organized when managing multiple tasks, and balance competing priorities efficiently.

Preferred qualifications (not required): experience with audio hardware such as speakers, PA systems, or amplifiers; background in a sales role; comfort reading technical documentation, instructions, or basic code.
