About the Role
Influx is recruiting a Customer Service Representative to join its support team in Kenya. This is a full-time position that blends customer interaction, technical knowledge, and sales support in a results-driven setting. You’ll handle inbound inquiries via voice, troubleshoot audio and streaming-related issues, and work with clients who depend on music and audio technologies to run their operations.
The role sits at the intersection of customer support and sales enablement. Key Responsibilities
- Answer and manage customer inquiries through voice channels, providing clear and professional responses
- Support the sales team by engaging with customers and spotting opportunities to expand service usage
- Guide customers through troubleshooting steps for audio equipment, streaming services, and related technical issues
- Log all interactions and account activity accurately in company systems, maintaining detailed records

Requirements & Qualifications
Candidates should meet at least 5 of the following criteria:
- Prior experience answering phones in a call center, BPO, or similar voice support environment
- Fluent English communication—both verbal and written—with strong listening skills and the ability to read customer tone and respond appropriately
- Hands-on experience using CRM software or similar customer management platforms
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, or willingness to learn troubleshooting frameworks quickly
- Meticulous attention to detail, with proven ability to maintain accurate records and follow up on open tasks
- Familiarity with popular music streaming services such as Spotify or Apple Music, and awareness of current trends in audio
- Capacity to learn new systems fast, stay organized, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience with audio hardware (speakers, amplifiers, PA systems) is a plus
- Background in sales or sales support roles is advantageous
- Comfort reading scripts, technical documentation, or basic code is helpful but not essential
Technical Requirements
This role requires you to work from home with your own equipment (BYOD). You must have:
