Job Purpose

  • The incumbent will be responsible for providing academic and character development support/guidance to students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the Deputy Principal or any other designated authority, the Biology/Geography teacher shall be:
  • Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate students’ understanding of the subjects including practical sessions.
  • Preparing and distributing learning material such as notes, assignments, and quizzes.
  • Sourcing the resources and supplies needed for lessons.
  • Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning.
  • Assessment of students, grading assignments and quizzes and assessments in a timely manner.
  • Invigilating quizzes and final examinations.
  • Documenting and reporting on students’ progress.
  • Compiling, reporting and communicating with parents regarding academics, character and general wellbeing of students.
  • Prepare students for final IGCSE examination.
  • To provide biblical instructions and discipline to students towards character building.
  • Any other tasks that may be assigned to them.

  • Timely registration of each IGCSE student.
  • Syllabus completion on time.
  • High client satisfaction rating.
  • Timely and successful graduation of each student.
  • 100% compliance to all regulations applicable.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Bachelor of Education. Biology & Geography subject combination.
  • Must be TSC registered.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in British curriculum.
  • ACE training as an added advantage.
