Job Summary
The accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring accurate accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all warehouse transactions, including purchases, sales, and inventory movements.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payment and collection of invoices.
- Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and other financial records on a regular basis.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of the warehouse budget, ensuring alignment with operational and financial goals.
- Track and analyze budget variances and provide recommendations for cost control and financial optimization.
- Support financial forecasting and planning activities by providing accurate data and insights.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Generate financial reports and analyses to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and auditors.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial assets and prevent fraud or errors.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
- Track and record inventory transactions, including purchases, sales, and adjustments.
- Reconcile inventory records with physical counts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to manage inventory costs and valuation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA Finalist
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a warehouse or supply chain environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
