Job Purpose

To support the planning, supervision, implementation, and administration of water and sanitation infrastructure projects through technical, social, administrative, and operational roles within the Agency’s mandate area.


Duties and Responsibilities

Resident Engineer

  • Supervise construction works to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and contracts

  • Monitor project progress, quality, costs, and timelines

  • Certify works, approve materials, and review contractor submissions

  • Coordinate contractors, consultants, and stakeholders

  • Prepare technical and progress reports

  • Enforce statutory, environmental, and safety compliance

  • Provide technical guidance and resolve site challenges

  • Supervise project staff and site teams

Assistant Resident Engineer

  • Support site supervision and quality control of construction works

  • Track progress against schedules and budgets

  • Review materials and certify completed works

  • Maintain site records and reports

  • Coordinate with contractors and consultants

  • Assist in resolving technical and design issues

  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards

  • Supervise assigned project staff

Inspector of Works

  • Inspect construction activities including pipelines, structures, and excavations
