About the Position:

Roam is in search of an enthusiastic and seasoned Event Coordinator to join our dynamic Marketing Team. As an Event Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and representation of Roam at various events, exhibitions, and activities. We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and organized individual who can collaborate closely with the Events Manager, the marketing team, and external partners to deliver memorable experiences that align with Roam’s brand values and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with the Events Manager to execute event plans and ensure seamless coordination.
2. Take ownership of event-related tasks and to-do lists, ensuring meticulous planning and execution in all aspects.
3. Manage communication and coordination with both internal and external stakeholders to effectively arrange and prepare all event elements.
4. Assist in sourcing necessary resources and funding for events while maintaining a clear financial overview for each event.
5. Develop and oversee event budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
6. Supervise the production and distribution of event materials, including tasks both before and after events, such as printing flyers, brochures, banners, and more.
7. Identify and secure suitable event locations that align with Roam’s brand and objectives.
8. Digitize and organize collected email addresses and contact information from events for marketing purposes.
9. Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both internal and external events to ensure consistency and quality.
10. Act as a representative for Roam at events, exhibitions, and panel discussions, effectively showcasing the company’s products and values.
11. Conduct facility tours at Roam Park for visitors, providing insights into our operations and values.
12. Conduct interviews on behalf of Roam for various purposes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in event planning and coordination is a fundamental requirement.
• Strong affinity with online marketing and the ability to collaborate effectively with the marketing team.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Swahili, with the capability to articulate Roam’s values and offerings effectively.
• A friendly, proactive, and independent individual who can also excel in a collaborative team environment.
• A passion for electric mobility (Emobility) and a genuine interest in contributing to a sustainable future.
• Familiarity with the East African market and Kenyan culture is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexibility to attend events physically, including evenings and weekends, as required.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
