Taking orders at the counter and assisting guests.
Billing correctly and processing change promptly and correctly.
Multi-tasking / Acts as a hostess when necessary
Dispensing orders from the counter station.
Ensuring take-away orders are dispensed promptly and correctly.
Assists in service operations e.g. folding serviettes, cutlery , specials, counter set ups, checking and cleaning menus, take away packaging.
Ensuring there is enough change at all times
Ensuring the minimum cash float is maintained at the cash till for safety purposes.
Ensure cash is placed in the drop box safe – well recorded, labeled and sealed.
Answer the phone, for take away orders or any other business correctly and fast / Telephone etiquette to be observed.
Ensure all take away phones and tablets are well charged and functioning.
Maintaining shift float money and ensuring no shortages
Ensures all bills are settled and correct change given
Assist at the barista counter or in the restaurant when the need arises
Assist in food dispatch and coordination.
Has to be well versed in menu and product knowledge
Carry out any other task as may be instructed by superiors
