Tax Associate Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or any other business-related course from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in handling tax matters.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CISA, CFA, or any equivalent certification.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Tax Associate, your responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing and filing tax returns for companies, partnerships, and individuals.
2. Conducting research to stay updated on tax issues, providing advisory services to clients, and assisting with tax audits.
3. Consulting with clients, reviewing their tax information, and addressing their questions and concerns.
4. Conducting tax risk and opportunities reviews for clients.
5. Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with clients and the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
6. Collaborating with relevant officers at KRA on various tax and policy matters.
7. Assisting clients in preparing for and resolving KRA audits and issues related to statements of accounts.
8. Preparing objections and appeals to KRA assessments.
9. Supporting the firm’s business development efforts, including responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
