About the Role

The Open University of Kenya is recruiting Part-time Lecturers in Planning and Design to support its mission of expanding access to quality higher education through flexible, technology-enabled learning modes. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures and instructional content in planning and design to students enrolled in distance and online programmes

  • Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure curriculum coherence and quality delivery

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral qualification in planning, design, or a closely related field from an accredited institution; OR a Master’s degree in the relevant field from an accredited institution combined with at least three years of university-level teaching experience and current registration in a doctoral programme
  • Demonstrated competence in using computers and managing digital content delivery
  • Ability to support students effectively in online learning environments
  • Current membership in a relevant professional body (where applicable)
  • Valid national identification document or passport
  • Certified copies of all academic qualifications and professional certificates
