About the Role

AdPath Laboratories is recruiting a Laboratory Technologist to join its diagnostic team in Machakos on a full-time basis. The Laboratory Technologist will perform a broad range of diagnostic testing, specimen handling, and quality assurance activities across the laboratory. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic tests and analyses on patient specimens using laboratory equipment and established protocols
• Receive, process, and maintain proper documentation of all specimens throughout the testing cycle
• Perform quality control checks and calibration procedures to ensure result accuracy and equipment function
• Record and report test results in accordance with laboratory standards and regulatory requirements
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace with adherence to biosafety and infection control procedures
• Communicate findings with laboratory supervisors and healthcare team members as required
• Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory processes and standard operating procedures

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent qualification
• Current, valid registration with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technologists and Technicians Board (KMLTTB)
• Between 3 and 6 years of hands-on experience in a medical laboratory setting
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining quality standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and team interaction
• Capacity to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary laboratory team
• Prior histology experience is advantageous
