About the Role
Geminia Life Insurance is recruiting a Business Development Officer -Satellite Offices and Bancassurance Coordinator to join its retail expansion team in Nairobi. This is a full-time position focused on establishing and managing satellite office networks while coordinating bancassurance partnerships across Kenya. The role reports to the Business Development Manager, Retail and sits at the intersection of agency channel expansion and bank distribution strategy.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the establishment and operationalization of satellite offices in targeted growth regions, working with internal teams to ensure smooth setup and compliance with company standards.
- Conduct market assessments to identify and recommend suitable locations for new satellite office openings aligned with the company’s expansion strategy.
- Manage agent recruitment, onboarding, and engagement activities within satellite office territories, including training and performance support.
- Deliver operational and administrative support to agents based in satellite offices, ensuring they have resources and guidance to meet targets.
- Provide coordination and operational assistance to the bancassurance channel, including liaison with partner banks and facilitation of training sessions for bank staff.
- Monitor performance metrics across satellite offices and bancassurance partnerships, preparing periodic reports on growth, productivity, and opportunities.
- Support the implementation of bancassurance campaigns and business development initiatives that drive premium growth and market share.
- Ensure all satellite office operations and bancassurance activities comply with company policies and insurance regulatory requirements in Kenya.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in insurance sales, agency management, bancassurance operations, or business development.
- Professional qualifications such as ACII, IIK, COP, or equivalent certifications (advantageous but not mandatory).
- Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders including agents, bank partners, and internal departments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare reports and present findings to management.
- Proficiency in analytical work, data interpretation, and business reporting.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across assigned regions and work with minimal supervision.
